Wiesenthal Centre Slams Spanish Television for Inviting Neo-Nazi Leader to Prime Time Programme

PARiS - Wiesenthal Centre Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, expressed outrage at La Sexta’s presentation of Isabel Medina Peralta on its “Equipo de Investigación” programme entitled "Los últimos cachorros" (The Latest Puppies). chaired by Gloria Serra.

 

The Centre has followed the appearance of Peralta since she took the podium at a memorial of the wartime Spanish Fascist pro-Nazi Blue Brigade.

 

There, she stated: “...the disguise will differ, but the enemy will always be the same, the Jew! Why is there such certainty to this? The Jews are to blame and the Blue Division fought for that [reason].”

 

About to be charged for hate crimes, she received a “scholarship” from German neo-Nazis, who promised to train her “to learn techniques for propaganda and combat... to walk through frontier regions to find illegals. This time we will not sit with our arms crossed, while millions of foreigners arrive in our country.”

 

The targets of violence would be mostly Muslim refugees and migrants, despite her love for Palestinian Hamas.

 

She stressed: “If we do not break them, immigration to Europe will supplant our race.” A clear reference to the extreme-right white nationalist “Great Replacement” theory.

“To grant such a person a platform is a step to complicity,” is one of the comments, among the many “likes” for Peralta... 

"It may bring viewers to the network, but to give this hater a voice on a nation-wide television will encourage admirers and perhaps incite to violence against Jews and other targets,” concluded Samuels.
