Wiesenthal Center’s Anti-Racism in Football Program Submitted to Latin American Parliament (PARLATINO)

Sergio Widder, the Center’s Director for Latin America and Delegate to the PARLATINO, presented the initiative to its Secretary of Commissions, Congresswoman Daisy Tourné (Uruguay) and to the President and Vice President of the Human Rights Commission, Oscar Alfaro Zamora (Costa Rica) and Roque Arregui (Uruguay), respectively. “The Center’s football program, already supported by the national associations of Argentina, Brazil and Chile – if endorsed by the Parlamentarians of Latin America and the Caribbean – can firmly impact on the Brazil World Cup 2014,” concluded the Center’s officials.
