Venezuelan Dictator Nicolás Maduro Calls Juan Guaidó "CIA Agent and Zionist" in Interview with Lebanese Hezbollah-affiliated Al Mayadin

In an interview granted today to the Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese media group, Al Mayadin, Nicolás Maduro (pictured) stated: "Juan Guaidó is a CIA agent and serves the interests of the United States and Zionism".

He added that he feels compassion with the Palestinians, but denied that there are Hezbollah operatives acting in Venezuela.

Dr. Shimon Samuels, SWC Director for International Relations stated: "It is a farce that Maduro uses Hezbollah-related media to deny that the Iranian-backed terrorist movement in Venezuela is used as a hub for activity across Latin America. Based on assassinated Argentine Prosecutor Alberto Nisman's findings, the Wiesenthal Center revealed that there were 90 Hezbollah sleepers in that country and probably more following former Venezuelan Vice President Tarek El Assaimi's grant of over 150 Venezuelan passports to members of Hezbollah who knew no Spanish."

"When it comes to manipulating an adverse reality, autocrats lie shamelessly and seek an outside enemy to stir up the citizenship after their cause is already lost. Just as Israeli rescue workers who arrived in Brazil to aid victims of the natural disaster of Brumadinho were maligned by the Maduro regime as 'the beginning of a Zionist invasion of Latin America', so today do they use 'a non-existent relationship between Guaidó and the State of Israel to delegitimize both in a single step," concluded Dr. Ariel Gelblung, SWC Latin American Center´s Representative.

Maduro Llama al Presidente Encargado Guaidó “Agente de la CIA y el Sionismo” en una Entrevista a un Medio Relacionado con Hezbollah

En una entrevista otorgada al medio libanés Al Mayadin, relacionado con Hezbollá, Nicolás Maduro afirmó que: “Juan Guaidó es un agente de la CIA y sirve a los intereses de Estados Unidos y del sionismo”.

Luego agregó que se siente un palestino y negó que existan agentes de Hezbollah actuando en Venezuela.

Al resepecto, el Director de Relaciones Internacionales del Centro Simon Wiesenthal, Dr. Shimon Samuels, sostuvo: "Es una farsa que Maduro use los medios relacionados con Hezbollah para negar que el organismo terrorista apoyado por Irán haya plantado su base de actividad en América Latina en Venezuela. El Centro Wiesenthal, basado en las investigaciones del asesinado fiscal argentino Alberto Nisman, reveló que había 90 agentes durmientes de Hizbollah en ese país y probablemente más después de la concesión del ex vicepresidente venezolano Tarek El Assaimi de más de 150 pasaportes venezolanos a miembros de Hezbolla que ni siquiera sabían español. ".

“Cuando se trata de manipular una realidad adversa, los autócratas mienten sin descaro y buscan un enemigo externo para soliviantar a la ciudadanía tras su causa ya perdida.
