SWC Denounces Greta Thunberg for Turning Amsterdam Event into Pro-Hamas Campaign

Stop facilitating the pollution of cancerous anti-Semitism

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is denouncing Greta Thunberg who, during a climate change protest in Amsterdam, gave the microphone to Sara Rachdan, a Palestinian activist who has called for the destruction of Israel, and in a video falsely purports that Israel is gassing Palestinians.

“As a climate justice movement, we have to listen to the voices of those who are being oppressed and those who are fighting for freedom and for justice. Otherwise, there can be no climate justice without international solidarity,” Thunberg said.

The SWC denounces Greta Thunberg for facilitating the pollution of cancerous and harmful tropes against Jews on the streets of a European capitol where Jews were deported and gassed by the Nazis,” stated Rabbi Abraham Cooper, SWC Associate Dean and Global Social Action Director. “It is particularly disgusting and dangerous that she legitimizes genocide when anti-Semitic violent hate crimes surge across Europe and the United States and many Jews are afraid to wear Jewish symbols in public.”

“You no longer speak for us when you harm the environment by denouncing Israel after it suffered the largest mass murder of Jews since the end of the Nazi Holocaust!” Cooper added.
