The Simon Wiesenthal Center today celebrated the rescue of Quaid Farhan Alkadi, a Muslim citizen of Israel and father of 11 who was held for 10 months as a hostage in Gaza.
Rabbi Abraham Cooper, SWC Associate Dean, and Global Social Action Director stated “The IDF’s rescue of a Muslim hostage is not only a cause for celebration, but a reminder of the IDF’s role as the sole institution that safeguards the people of Israel. This father of 11, who will now be reunited with his family, was not rescued by the International Court of Justice, or the UN, or protesters on American college campuses, but by the Israeli Defense Forces, the only institution in the world that defends & protects the people of Israel, people of all religious identities, including Jews, Muslims & Christians alike.”
