Last month, the Simon Wiesenthal Center wrote to the International Committee of the Red Cross President Mirjana Spoljaric and Director-General Pierre Krahenbuhl urging them to take immediate action to mitigate the tragedy of over 100 hostages being held by Hamas. Following the brutal murders of six young hostages, the Simon Wiesenthal Center believes that the direct intervention by the ICRC on behalf of the remaining hostages is a matter of life and death. It is urgent that the ICRC do everything in its power to meet with the live hostages to obtain proof of life. Please join with the Simon Wiesenthal Center in signing a petition to the International Committee of the Red Cross to demand that the ICRC: • Demand immediate access to the hostages held by Hamas • Obtain proof of life of the remaining hostages • Provide for the medical needs of all hostages It has now been over eleven months since hostages were taken into Gaza. A maximum effort from the ICRC to intervene on their behalf could still save innocent lives. Time is running out. |
