Wiesenthal Center Urges President Obama To Block UN Gaza Investigation

“US would never permit foreigners to investigate BP disaster”

The SWC is urging President Obama to fully back Israel's investigation of the Gaza Flotilla incident and to signal the UN it won't back another kangaroo court against the Jewish state.

“No other country is being pressured to do what they are demanding of Israel,” said Rabbis Marvin Hier and Abraham Cooper, dean and founder and associate dean of the leading Jewish Human Rights NGO. “The U.S.
would certainly never permit other nations to determine the cause and consequences of this disaster which took place over 40 miles from the Louisiana Coast. The United States has taken sole control of investigating and acting on the BP oil spill, which took place some miles off the shores of America.”

"Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East has constituted a panel which includes two foreign experts — an Irish Nobel prize winner and former Canadian General. That investigation will seek and find the truth about the Gaza Flotilla incident. Any investigation by United Nations will inevitably serve as yet another judicial lynching of the Jewish State. The United States should make clear it will not agree or acquiesce to any “consensus” that would produce another fundamentally biased and flawed UN Gaza Goldstone-style report,” the Senior Wiesenthal Center officials concluded.
