Wiesenthal Center to Brazilian Foreign Minister: "While in Teheran, Stress Brazil's Rejection of Iranian Genocidal Threats against Israel”

These threats endorse Hizbollah and other Jihadist Terrorism in the Americas and Europe

In the context of the Simon Wiesenthal Center's Jewish New Year campaign, ''Words Matter, What our Leaders Say Matters!" Latin American Representative Dr. Ariel Gelblung and Director for International Relations Dr. Shimon Samuels, requested Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira (pictured)- currently on his way to Teheran, that he,  "Make clear to Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khameini and other officials, that their threats to destroy Israel are in violation of the United Nations charter.''

 

Gelblung urged that this official visit, ''will stress Brazil's longstanding friendly diplomatic relations with Israel."

 

Samuels added, "Mr. Minister, please note that Iranian genocidal threats incite to further violence in the Middle East and endorse Teheran's proxy, Hizbollah, and other Jihadi terrorists to attacks in the Americas and Europe."

 

The Center's Dean and Founder, Rabbi Marvin Hier, has made the same request of UK Prime Minister David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande, Russian President Vladimir Putin, China's Xi Jinping and United States President Barak Obama.

En el contexto de la campaña de Año Nuevo judío del Centro Simon Wiesenthal, ''Las palabras importan, lo que nuestros líderes dicen importa!", el representante para América Latina, Dr. Ariel Gelblung y el Director de Relaciones Internacionales Dr. Shimon Samuels, pidieron al Canciller brasileño Mauro Vieira - actualmente en camino a Teherán - ''que deje claro al líder supremo iraní, el Ayatoláh Khamenei y otros funcionarios, que sus amenazas de destruir a Israel están en violación de la Carta de las Naciones Unidas ''

  

Gelblung instó a que esta visita oficial '' hará hincapié en las relaciones diplomáticas amistosas de larga data de Brasil con Israel "

  

Samuels añadió, "Sr. Ministro, tenga en cuenta que las amenazas genocidas iraníes incitan a más violencia en el Medio Oriente y avalan que los representantes de Teherán, Hezbolá, y otros terroristas yihadistas ataquen en las Américas y Europa"
