Wiesenthal Center Mourns Death of Leonard Nimoy

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is mourning the passing of actor Leonard Nimoy, a long-time friend of the Center.

 

“Leonard Nimoy was not only a talented actor and a remarkable Mr. Spock, but he was always a first class Mensch.  Whenever the Simon Wiesenthal Center approached him to narrate one of our films, he always made himself available.  In 2014, when we needed someone to be the voice of the late Israeli Prime Minister, Levi Eshkol in our documentary, “The Prime Ministers,” he enthusiastically volunteered and relished the opportunity to show off his impeccable Yiddish.  He will be sorely missed,” said Rabbi Marvin Hier, founder and dean, Simon Wiesenthal Center and Rick Trank, executive producer, Moriah Films.
