Wiesenthal Center Expresses Solidarity With Vandalized Chabad on Wheels Synagogue
MIAMI - Stephen Lippy, the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s southern director, attended the rally and special Shabbath Eve service on April 25 in support of the Chabad on Wheels, Miami Beach, FL which was looted, burned and vandalized and its torah stolen by unknown perpetrators on the third day of Passover, April 22. Lippy stated, “The Wiesenthal Center is appalled by this act of hate and desecration of the synagogue and pleased to see the community outpouring of support for the synagogue. The Wiesenthal Center supports the efforts of the fire and law enforcement officials in finding the cowards responsible for this despicable crime.” Lippy expressed the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s solidarity with Rabbi Katz and the congregation of Chabad on Wheels over this incident. |
