SWC Urges Severe Punishment for Violent Antisemitic Attack against Rabbi in Buenos Aires

The Simon Wiesenthal Center condemned the attack suffered by Rabbi Moshe Cohen, Director of the Heijal Hatora Jewish School, who was beaten at the entrance of the institution, while being screamed at “f… Jew.” The aggressor was reportedly arrested by policemen who were guarding the area.

“Our Center expresses its solidarity with Rabbi Cohen, and calls for a full investigation of the incident, the utmost severity in punishing and in preventing future assaults”, stated Dr. Shimon Samuels (Director for International Relations of the Wiesenthal Center) and Sergio Widder (Director for Latin America).

Ataque contra el director de un colegio judío de Buenos Aires: el Centro Wiesenthal demanda que se aplique el máximo rigor para condenar al agresor

El Centro Simon Wiesenthal condenó el ataque sufrido por el rabino Moshe Cohen, director del colegio judío Heijal Hatorá, quien fue golpeado en la puerta del establecimiento mientras le gritaban “judío de mierda”. El agresor habría sido arrestado por policías que custodiaban la zona.

“Nuestro Centro se solidariza con el rabino Cohen, y exige que se aplique el máximo rigor de la ley para condenar al agresor y para prevenir episodios similares en el futuro”, señalaron el Dr. Shimon Samuels (Director de Relaciones Internacionales del Centro Wiesenthal) y Sergio Widder (Director para América Latina).
