“Our children are our glory and honor, they were created to be fertilizer for the land of Palestine… “My pure land, I shall saturate you with my blood..."
In Palestinian Authority TV clips provided by Palestinian Media Watch, celebrations for the 47th anniversary of the Fatah party held in Ramallah and the Ein Al-Hilwe refugee camp in Lebanon declared, “Our children are our glory and honor, they were created to be fertilizer for the land of Palestine,…” and “My pure land, I shall saturate you with my blood... redeem you with my life.” These words were sung at a Ramallah event in an “American Idol”-type performance by youth group called Raji'in. The news clip shows PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and other senior PA applauding the singers. “Is there a greater example of child abuse than the adult leadership of the Palestinians promoting the death of their children?,” charged Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, adding that the Jerusalem-based Palestinian Media Watch “has a long list of Palestinian Authority videos and children shows that encourage children to embrace death instead of celebrating life.” “The Simon Wiesenthal Center urges UNICEF, human rights NGOs and international advocates for children to denounce this serial child abuse, a tactic that helps create a new cadre of young terrorist and which is destroying hopes of reconciliation between two people in the Holy Land,” Cooper concluded. The Simon Wiesenthal Center is one of the largest international Jewish human rights organizations with over 400,000 member families in the United States. It is an NGO at international agencies including the United Nations, UNESCO, the OSCE, the OAS, the Council of Europe and the Latin American Parliament (Parlatino).
