SWC & LAPD Stand Up Against Hate & Extremism

Diplomats from 12 nations, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Baha'i, and Sikh representatives from communities across Los Angeles and anti-terrorism experts were joined by LAPD Deputy Chief Michael Downing, head of LAPD's Counterterrorism and Criminal Intelligence Bureau in standing up against hate and extremism and in solidarity with victims of terror.

"This isn't a Jewish problem, it's not a Christian problem, it's not a Muslim problem, this is humanity's problem," stated Chief Downing.

“Terrorism is the scourge of our time and is a clear and present danger to people of good faith everywhere,” said Rabbi Abraham Cooper, Associate Dean of the Wiesenthal Center.

Examples from the Center’s newest Digital Terrorism & Hate CD, highlighted the use of social media by terrorists and haters.
