Global Social Action: SWC on the Frontlines

June 16, 2020

As you can see from our daily updates, our important work continues on multiple fronts. From global social action to the important task of raising worldwide awareness, the Simon Wiesenthal Center is on the frontlines. Recently, we have:

  • Dialogued with four leading African American leaders who shared their perspectives with senior officials of the SWC on the current state of affairs in wake of George Floyd's murder and how Black and Jewish communities can come together
  • Called on the Chancellors of Germany and Austria to denounce Iran’s Supreme Leader for calling for a ‘Final Solution’ against the Jewish State
  •  Joined with the NAACP and Jewish leaders to help pass a resolution condemning the targeting of Jewish and Asian communities
  •  Urged politicians on both sides of the political divide to condemn Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for her attack on Israel and her supporters
  •  Testified before the New York City Council on the dramatic spike of online hate targeting Jews and Asians and shared steps the SWC is taking to combat this hate
  • Denounced the head of the International Criminal Court for her outrageous anti-Israel bias and called out the travesty of justice being orchestrated by the ICC
A much-needed donation to the Wiesenthal Center will enable us to continue our work and make the voice of the global Jewish community heard. Please consider supporting us today.

Thank you
