WIESENTHAL CENTER CONGRATULATES NEW UC STUDENT REGENT
The Simon Wiesenthal Center commends the nominating committee of the UC Regents for selecting UCLA student leader Avi Oved to become the next UC Student Regent. Aron Hier, Director of Campus Outreach at the Simon Wiesenthal Center, said "Avi Oved's nomination today will not only assure that UC students throughout the system will be well served by an outstanding leader from their ranks but also means that Jewish students on UC campuses who have been subject to extreme anti-Israel and anti-Semitic bullying, harassment and intimidation will have an important voice representing their concerns within the UC Regents."
