SWC Condemns Synagogue Desecration in Irvine, CA

October 1, 2018

The Simon Wiesenthal Center condemns the desecration of the Beth Jacob Synagogue in Irvine, California, just days after the horrific attack in Pittsburgh which left 11 dead.

"Following in the footsteps of the great tragedy that occurred in Pittsburgh, this is another indication that the haters and bigots among us have infected our country,”
said Rabbi Marvin Hier, Simon Wiesenthal Center Founder and Dean.

"Only a sick person and hater would have the nerve to paint a swastika on a synagogue days after the tragedy in Pittsburgh,” he added.
