The Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Government Advocacy Internship Program held its 4th weekly seminar last night on The Inside Role of Lobbying in Advocacy. This seminar was led by one of New York’s most respected and influential lobbyists, Lawrence Scherer, a founding partner of the firm State & Broadway.
The program's participants were hosted by SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild – America Federation of Television and Radio Artists) and were joined by Sarah Howes, their Director and Counsel for Government Affairs and Public Policy.
Throughout the seminar, program participants were shown how to research, craft, package, strategize and pitch issues successfully to government officials and their staffs for their forwarding in legislative, regulatory, budgetary and executive order fashions.
