Twitter suspends 125,000 ISIS-related accounts
“This is a long overdo move. For years, Twitter has been the social media weapon of choice for terrorists, with ISIS alone sending out 200,000 Tweets a day,” said Rabbi Abraham Cooper Associate Dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center who heads the human rights NGO’s Digital Terrorism and Hate Project.
“The decision to remove terrorists’ postings by Twitter will help degrade the incredibly successful international online marketing campaigns by ISIS, al Qaeda, Al Shabab and their ilk,” Cooper added.
“We will be discussing this breakthrough development as well as our continuing concerns over racist and pro-terrorist hashtags at out next meeting at Twitter headquarters next Thursday, February 11th,” Rabbi Cooper concluded.
