Simon Wiesenthal Center Reaction to Dallas Shootings

July 8, 2016

Statement by Rabbis Marvin Hier, Dean and Founder and Abraham Cooper, Associate Dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center

"The Simon Wiesenthal Center joins all Americans in mourning the senseless, premeditated murder of five police officers in Dallas who were targeted and gunned down by snipers last night.

We pray for the recovery of those who were injured by these domestic terrorists. No cause could ever justify such violence against the people who dedicate their lives to Americans' safety."

The Simon Wiesenthal Center is one of the largest international Jewish human rights organizations with over 400,000 member families in the United States. It is an NGO at international agencies including the United Nations, UNESCO, the OSCE, the OAS, the Council of Europe and the Latin American Parliament (Parlatino).
