Senior Leaders of Simon Wiesenthal Center in Jerusalem to Attend Opening of US Embassy

May 13, 2018

Rabbi Marvin Hier, Dean and Founder and Rabbi Abraham Cooper, Associate Dean and Director of Global Social Action of the leading Jewish Human Rights NGO will attend tomorrow’s ceremony at the new US Embassy. Rabbi Hier recently keynoted the Congressional Prayer Breakfast in Washington and spoke at President Trump’s Inauguration during which he said: “By the rivers of Babylon, we wept as we remembered Zion… If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, may my right hand forget its skill. The do-er of all these shall never falter,” — words taken from the Biblical Psalm 137.

“We are proud to represent the 400,000 constituent families of our Center," Rabbis Hier and Cooper said, adding. “We are deeply humbled to be present at a historical event that our ancestors in exile around the world for 1900 years could have only dreamed of. The decision taken by President Trump is a powerful validation of the fact that Jerusalem has and will always be the eternal Capital of the Jewish people.”

Rabbis Hier and Cooper can be reached by cell—0524-316-448 or +1-310-487-2007( Rabbi Hier) or 1-818-519-9690 (Rabbi Cooper).
