Palestinians Transplant Middle East to Latin America - Palestinian Federation of Chile Calls for "Death to Zionists : "A Euphemism for Jews"

Claiming to represent over 360,000 of Palestinian origin in Chile, the Palestinian Federation led a demonstration in front of the United States Embassy in Santiago against President Trump's Jerusalem declaration, under a flag calling for "death to the Zionists", a politically correct euphemism for "Jews", stated the Simon Wiesenthal Center. (see photo below)

This mantra rejects any possibility for dialogue or negotiation, leaving only one final solution for the Jewish national home in Israel: "Homicide", argued the Center, urging the two presidential candidates, Sebastián Piñera and Alejandro Guillier," to reject these threats and take the necessary steps to defend their Jewish community"

Dr. Shimon Samuels, Director of International Relations at the Wiesenthal Center, noted that "early 20th century Jewish and Arab communities in Chile worked together in harmony...The only Palestinians were Jews who held British Mandate documents. Later generations of Arabs took the name to denote the cause of those who adopted a new Palestinian identity...The Palestine Federation of Chile protest was not against the Trump declaration. It was to transplant the Middle East to Latin America to thereby conflate Jew, Zionist, Israeli as targets"

"Chile began a path of commitment to coexistence when its Congress is currently pursuing a Bill that incriminates incitement to violence. We hope that both presidential candidates commit themselves to measures that will criminalize the threats we have heard from Santiago", concluded Dr. Ariel Gelblung, Representative of the Center for Latin America.

Los palestinos trasplantan Oriente Medio a América Latina - La Federación Palestina de Chile pide "muerte al sionista: un eufemismo para el judío"

Arrogándose la representación de más de 360,000 personas de origen palestino en Chile, la Federación Palestina encabezó una manifestación frente a la Embajada de los Estados Unidos en Santiago contra la declaración del Presidente Trump acerca de Jerusalén, tras una bandera que pedía "muerte al sionista", un eufemismo políticamente correcto para " judíos ", declaró el Centro Simon Wiesenthal. “Este mantra rechaza cualquier posibilidad de diálogo o negociación, dejando solo una solución final para quien simpatice con un hogar nacional judío en Israel: Homicidio", argumentó el Centro, instando a los dos candidatos presidenciales, Sebastián Piñera y Alejandro Guillier, "a rechazar estas amenazas y tomar los pasos necesarios para defender a su comunidad judía "

El Dr. Shimon Samuels, Director de Relaciones Internacionales del Centro Wiesenthal, señaló que "las comunidades judías y árabes de principios del siglo XX en Chile trabajaron juntas en armonía ... Los únicos palestinos eran judíos que tenían documentos del Mandato británico. Las generaciones posteriores de árabes tomaron el nombre para denotar la causa de aquellos que adoptaron una nueva identidad palestina ... La protesta de la Federación Palestina de Chile no estaba en contra de la declaración de Trump. Se trataba de trasplantar el Medio Oriente a América Latina para confundir a judíos, sionistas e israelíes como objetivos".

"Chile comenzó un camino de compromiso con la convivencia en la diversidad cuando su Congreso actualmente dio entrada a un proyecto de ley que criminaliza la incitación a la violencia. Esperamos que ambos candidatos presidenciales se comprometan a tomar medidas que penalicen las amenazas que hemos escuchado desde Santiago", concluyó el Dr. Ariel Gelblung, Representante del Centro para América Latina.
