The Simon Wiesenthal Center expressed condolences to the latest Israeli victims of Palestinian terrorism. “PA President Abbas’ continued incitement to violence and Hamas’ praise for their “martyrs” who “heroically” mow down men, women and children on the streets of Jerusalem proves that the current Palestinian unity government is an unfit partner for peace in the Holy Land,” declared Rabbi Marvin Hier and Abraham Cooper, Dean and Founder and Associate Dean of the Center.
“We reiterate our call to the Obama Administration and the leaders of the European Union to tell Abbas to drop terrorist Hamas from his government and for the PA President to stop his dangerous rhetoric which has stoked the forces of hate and violence, or risk their continued support, ” they added.
“The current situation wherein European leaders reward Palestinian hate, violence, and terrorism, with endorsements of a Palestinian state that includes Hamas is a prescription for disaster - not a fast-track to a two state solution. No European country would entertain having terrorists as part of their government. No Israeli government can be expected to negotiate with a Palestinian Authority, many of whose members praise terrorist murderers and belong to the genocidal-seeking Hamas,” Center officials concluded.
Just yesterday, SWC officials met with and consoled the grandfather of the three month old infant murdered in last month's lightrail terrorist attack in Jerusalem
