The Center's new Japanese-language The Courage to Remember traveling exhibition has been viewed by over 45,000 visitors including in Hiroshima, where it opened on International Holocaust Memorial Day.

In Los Angeles, Clifton Truman Daniel - grandson of President Harry Truman who ordered the dropping of atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki - participated in a special Museum of Tolerance screening of Orizuru a film about the suffering of a young Japanese survivor of Hiroshima.

In Tokyo, SWC Associate Dean, Rabbi Abraham Cooper met with senior Japanese officials, US diplomats, and Japanese university students to discuss the historic implications of the 70th anniversary of Hiroshima.
