The SWC welcomes President Obama and Prime Minister Abe's visit to Hiroshima - a pivotal moment in history that will further reconciliation and hopefully inspire younger generations to learn about the full history of World War II.
The Simon Wiesenthal Center is actively involved in global education and remembrance:

-
The Center's new Japanese-language The Courage to Remember traveling exhibition has been viewed by over 45,000 visitors including in Hiroshima, where it opened on International Holocaust Memorial Day.
-
In Los Angeles, Clifton Truman Daniel - grandson of President Harry Truman who ordered the dropping of atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki - participated in a special Museum of Tolerance screening of Orizuru a film about the suffering of a young Japanese survivor of Hiroshima.
-
In Tokyo, SWC Associate Dean, Rabbi Abraham Cooper met with senior Japanese officials, US diplomats, and Japanese university students to discuss the historic implications of the 70th anniversary of Hiroshima.
-
Help us continue our work of remembrance and education around the world – from Hiroshima to Europe and across the Americas.
