The Venezuelan Media Group press agency linked to dictator, Nicolas Maduro, alleged that Hebrew script graffiti along a protest demonstration route gave directions to "Israeli agents", as part of a plan to cause instability and undermine the regime.

Latin American Representative of the Simon Wiesenthal Centre, Dr. Ariel Gelblung, stated, "After more than three months of mass demonstrations and domestic jurisprudential pressure to prevent Maduro's rewrite of the Constitution and disenfranchisement of the Congress...in his anti-democratic bid for unfettered despotic power and to discredit the opposition, his minions are resorting to the age old Jewish scapegoat as responsible for Venezuela's condition as a failed state."

The Centre's Director for International Relations, Dr. Shimon Samuels, noted, "The Hebrew letters provided as evidence of a Zionist/Israeli conspiracy, are meaningless gobbledy gook... They are most likely fake news of a desperate regime," adding, "Antisemitic conspiracy theory sits well with the Iranian and Hezbollah terror-masters entrenched in Venezuela and its ALBA-bloc ideological partners (Bolivia, Ecuador, Cuba, Nicaragua)."

Un medio de comunicación ligado al gobierno del Presidente Nicolás Maduro, afirmó que la aparición de graffitis con caracteres en hebreo a lo largo de una de las rutas utilizadas por las manifestaciones de protesta tenían por fin instruir a "agentes israelíes" para causar inestabilidad y socavar el régimen.

El Representante del Centro Simon Wiesenthal para América Latina, Dr. Ariel Gelblung, declaró que “hace más de más de tres meses existen tanto manifestaciones masivas de hecho como presiones jurídicas domésticas y políticas externas para evitar la reforma constitucional que pretende Maduro para clausurar el Congreso.
