October 19, 2022

Buenos Aires and Paris – The Prosecutor of the AMIA case –"The murder of 85 and wounded of over 300 in the 1994 bombing of the Buenos Aires Jewish Center"... acompanied by a judge and the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs, have called upon Qatar to detain for immediate arrest and extradition of Iranian Vice President Mohsen Rezai.

Rezai is one of the five suspects who planned, ordered and organized the execution of the attack on the headquarters of AMIA, based on the 'INTERPOL Red Notices,' otherwise known as International Arrest Warrants.

Dr. Ariel Gelblung, Director of the Wiesenthal Center for Latin America stated: “Defying international law and exhibiting his impunity, Rezai traveled to Qatar as he did before to Nicaragua. In this instance, Argentina did everything correctly. We expect Qatar to respond in kind.”

Dr. Shimon Samuels, the Centre's Director for International Relations, concluded, “Literally a few days before the opening of the World Centre for the Football Cup, Qatar has the opportunity to show whether it will be the host of 'the so-called  "Beautiful Game "or "the refuge of a criminal terrorist wanted by international justice.”
