January 17, 2008 you declared “We must apply the lessons of the Holocaust to today’s world. We must go beyond remembrance. Then we can avoid re-occurrence...it is not enough to remember, honor and grieve for the dead…we vow to apply the lessons of the Holocaust to our lives and to those of succeeding generations.”

President Ahmadinejad’s hate filled, anti-semitic speech at the UN General Assembly threatens every Jew with the same canards used by Hitler to justify the genocide of the Jewish people.

Mr. Secretary General now is the time for action. I join with the Simon Wiesenthal Center in urging you to publicly denounce Ahmadinejad’s hate-filled, anti-semitic tirade and to urge the permanent members of the UN Security Council to bar Iran from obtaining non-permanent membership at the UN Security Council.
